Kinburn Spit: A virgin Ukrainian Sea

Do you like the sea? No, not a sea where “fresh Black Sea shrimp” and “Bay Shavarm, you will not regret it”, and of course not where you need to break into will, trying not to step on the garbage. We talk about the real Ukrainian sea – pure, transparent, washing white sand, intact by its waves.

If the answer is positive, you must visit Kinburn’s braid, but be prepared that it will be difficult to return to other Ukrainian resorts.

Kinburn braid – from Scythians to Suvorov

How to get

There are several villages in Kinburn, and each of them is interesting. If you leave the boat from Nikolaev or Ochakov (pier 333), you will arrive in the village of Rimba, some of the farms of Pokrovsky. It is located on the estuary, the path to the sea takes about 20 minutes of leisurely walking steppe and pine. Fish gets into the estuary and for bathing in the hottest days it is good.

But if you get with a car or a bus from Nikolaev or Kherson, you are likely to come to cover. Do not come to the estuary from here, but there are many salty lakes on the sea. Children especially love to swim in them! And there is the same suspended forest.

where to stop

in any village Kinburn, locals will gladly meet you and they will offer a room and they will try to sell milk with vegetables. For lovers of more comfortable rest there are hotels with all amenities, air conditioning, sometimes even with a pool.

and connoisseurs of “wild” recreation on the Kosbne spit in numerous tent camps stretching along the sea in the pine forest. There are children’s camps, as well as yoga, hippies, representatives of different subcultures.

what to take with you

15-20 years ago, literally everything had to be taken with them from cereals for baby food, local stores worked every time, and not everyone was sold in them. Now the situation has been improved at times – there are shops and a couple of cafes, even difficult dinners, you can find.

But there are no chic restaurants, discos and nightclubs, you need to go to other resorts.

Kinburn-Kosa is a magical combination of the cleanest sea, hot steppe, coniferous forests and salty lakes. Drunken air is filled with aromas of herbs, and the stars seem to hang so close that you can reach your hand. Come! And you also surely fall in love.
